90 days maternity leave request from NUBE
90 DAYS MATERNITY LEAVE CAMPAIGN IN CONJUNCTION WITH INTERNATIONAL WOMEN'S DAY CELEBRATION

National Union of Bank Employees (NUBE) representing almost 30,000 members nationwide in the Banking Sector is the largest financial sector of employees union in Malaysia. NUBE is urging the government to amend the Employment Act 1995 to increase Maternity Leave for all women employees in the country from 60 days to 90 days in accordance with ILO convention.
In conjunction with the International Women's Day, NUBE is launching a "90 Days Maternity Leave" Campaign as follows:
Date : 8th March 2010, Monday
Time : 10.00 - 11.30 am

Brickfields, Kuala Lumpur
Keeping in liine with the campaign launching, a million signatures will be collected nationwide within 90 Days from 8th March 2010 by everyone in support of the "90 Days Maternity Leave" Campaign.
